All student visa applicants need to demonstrate that they have enough finances to meet their tuition fees and living expenses during their intended stay of study in Australia. Tuition fees and living expenses are most important part of visa bank statement. Visa extension students only need to show tuition fee for remaining period of their studies and living expenses for remaining period of time at the rate of AUD18610 per Annam. Tuition fee for 6 months + Living expenses for 6 months + Return air fare
This example is true for students who are single and living at their own. If any of your family is living with you as dependent, then you also need to show that you have living expenses for your dependent family members too. For family members required amount of living expenses are;

How long you need to keep this money
All applicants need to hold and keep this money in their accounts for 90 days however this is condition is not compulsory if you you have completed at least 75% of your course and only 25% or less is left. This is the situation when you are relying on the funds available to you in yours or your eligible sponsor’s account. However if you are relying on a bank loan, then you do not need to wait after getting loan documents. You can apply for visa straight after getting loan documents.
