Since last week, when the new Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) is introduced, all applicants must get ECA report (Educational Credential Assessment) if there application include foreign qualification certificate(s). Purpose to get Educational Credential Assessment is just to ensure that all incoming immigrants have valid qualifications which are comparatively equivalent to Canadian qualifications. Foreign degrees and qualifications can only be presented with your Canada immigration application if they are assessed by designated authorities. These designated authorities are appointed by Canada Immigration and Citizenship (CIC).
Who can issue ECA – Educational Credential Assessment?
There are total four bodies which are appointed to assess foreign degrees and qualifications. Immigration applications which do not include report from one of these organisation will not be precessed. Here is the names and contact details of all four organizations which can issue ECA for Canadian immigration application.

- Medical Council of Canada
Role of forth organisation, Medical Council of Canada is limited to only those applicants who are applying as specialist physician (NOC code 3111) or general practitioner/family physician (code 3112). Hoever other three organizations can assess any type of foreign certificates.
