International student unions and some other sane voices are urging the Liberal government to include international students in the financial relief package offered by the government. The Australian government is offering to help residents and 230,000 full-time students who are facing hardship due to COVID-19 outbreak. Recent Coronavirus pandemic has affected almost everyone in the world. The effect is the worst if you are away from home and studying overseas. Thousands of miles away from home and family, temporary visas, casual jobs, and cash strained living are other pandemics that international students are facing right now.

To date, nearly half a million people have been affected by this deadly virus and the graph is still on the rise. People have lost jobs and the lockdown situation makes it even worse. Fear among people is at the highest level.
24% of the total students in Australi are international students.
Australian Government has announced a $550 payment every fortnight for all Australians adversely effected by Coronavirus. Two days later Government extended this relief payment to full-time students. Since this announcement, international student unions, and Green senator Dr. Mehreen Farouqi raised their voices urging Scot Morison Government to support international students during these tough times.
