Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482) also know as TSS is new work visa introduced by Department of Home Affairs, Australia. Temporary work visa subclass 457 has been replaced by Temporary Skill Shortage visa subclass 482. There are 3 application streams for TSS visa;

  1. Short-term stream
  2. Medium-term stream
  3. Labour Agreement stream

Who is eligible for Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482)

    There is no age limit for this visa

  • You must be nominated by approved sponsor in Australia
  • You have 2 years work experience in relevant field
  • You do not need assessment but you need to demonstrate your expertise in for of work experience letter, formal qualification, your CV and previous work references
  • If you are already in Australia, you must hold a substantive visa
  • YOu just meet Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) criteria
  • You must meet health and character requirements
  • You must hold enough English language skills (IELTS 5.0 bands overall with no less than 4.5 in each component. Other tests are also accepted with equivalent scores)

Application Fees for Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482)

Visa application fees for TSS visa subclass 482 are;

  • Short-term stream applicants: from AUD1150
  • Medium-term and labour agreement stream applicants: from AUD2400

Additional fees apply for accompanying family members.

Sponsoring business need to be accredited before they nominate you for this visa. There are fees for them as well which will be paid you sponsoring business. Accredition fee apply if you are not already approved sponsor.

  • Accreditation fee: AUD420
  • Nomination fee for each employee: AUD330
