Commonwealth Scholarships

The Economic Times

The Commonwealth scholarships are offered to students belonging to Commonwealth countries that plan on contributing to their homeland after the completion of their degree in the UK. The Commonwealth scholarship program gives candidates the following choices:

  • Clinical training for six months.
  • One-year master’s course.
  • A three-year doctoral degree.

Eligibility criteria:

  • You are an Indian citizen and reside there.

  • Monthly stipend of €977.
  • Grant for expenses covering approved overseas travel for a thesis or fieldwork.

  • If your award exceeds 18 months, then €220 per month will be paid for spouse allowance.
  • €138 per month will be paid for the first child.

Charles Wallace India Trust Scholarships

The Charles Wallace India Trust Scholarships are being offered to the Indian students after an agreement between the British and Indian governments to help at most ten Indian students each year achieve their educational and professional aims and to get more international contacts, which will help flourish their career in the future.

The Oxford and Cambridge Society of India scholarships are offered to students who want to pursue their research-based Ph.D. degree, postgraduate degree, bachelor’s degree or research-based Master’s degree. The scholars are expected to return to India after the completion of their degree.

  • Candidate should be a citizen of India.
